Take a Hike . . . Tommy Fundraiser

I am hosting a fundraiser for one of my 6th grade school teachers and fellow scrapbooker!  She is having MAJOR surgery in July at John Hopkins in Baltimore ~ that is more than 8 hours from her home.  There will be an extended stay for her and her family, up to 21 days which is a lot of hotel and food costs. 

So I wanted to help them out as she has been so good to me during the past school year.

So I am donating 20%, YES 20% of all my sales to her and her family for meals and travel expenses.

THANK YOU CARD!!!

**Revised**HEY! I made this a few days ago and never got to post it!  I thought I was too late for Deanne's Linky Party but I got it Linked on her blog!!  YAY!
 
But this is a card I did with Simply Charmed! I found the background paper online, it was just a paper I printed on white cardstock. The stamp is not mine. But I am thinking I just might need to come out with a stamp like the paper ~ what do you guys think? ? ?  It is on the drawing board!!!

Card for my Dad for Father's Day

Hi,
Yesterday my mom came across this darling card.  Then she found out it was a free file in either svg or PDF!!!   Here is where she found it: LifeStyle Crafts Blog http://lifestylecrafts.com/blog/printable   They show some darling ideas!

So here is my card, that I scraplifted from my mom ~ yes even used her MTC file she had resized and all,  well she left it up on the laptop so I just loaded my paper and cut away!!!  That is ok, I need a little crafting break from my big blog hop!!! :) :) :)

I even used the paper she had left out ~ the stamps are from my Celebrate Dad Stamp Set and can be purchased here ~ they are not just for father's day, a lot of versatile stamps on that set!

Tag for my Teacher

Hi Guys,

Well my blog hop was a blast for my birthday, thanks to all who helped make my 12th birthday a GREAT one!!!

I got some sad news from one of my teachers, they found a mass on her pancreas, so we have been praying hard!!!  She has decided to call it a cyst ~ just sounds better!!! and she even named it Tommy!  She is an awesome lady and such a caring teacher and and strong Christian so she will get thru this.  They are unsure if it is cancer or not and right now she is going thru a lot of testing and will have a major surgery to remove it later this summer.  So I decided to make her a tag she can use as a book mark as she has several books going at one time!

Here it is . . .

The stamp is from God's Art, my newest A Jillian Vance Design stamp sets found to Pre-Order here

I used the "No worries in a year of drought"sentiment because with God we SHOULD have no worries but of course as my Mom always says, she gives her troubles to Him and then takes them back 50,000 times! 

The sentiment comes from Jeremiah 17:8 "He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Vintage Photo and Wild Honey for the back ground with a little Perfect Pearls Mist in Sparkling Sunflower.  Then stamped the tree in Coffee Archival, bird in Black Archival Ink and Owl in Library Green Archival Ink.  For the flowers I used Vermillion Archival Ink and instead of stamping them on the branch of the tree, I used them at the base to make it look like they were growing around the base of the tree.  I think it adds a special touch!  

The ribbon was hand dyed with Barn Door Distress Ink and Perfect Pearls Mist in Sparkling Sunflower to add the perfect touch to bring out the flowers!

Jillian's Big Birthday Celebration Blog Hop Day 4

It is the last day of my blog hop! Its been so cool counting down to my birthday, which is tomorrow! How awesome is that? Any gifts are accepted :) lol Just Kidding :) So, this is a cake I made, I did Cake Decorating for 4-H and unfortunately for our booth at our county fair, you can't have any food :( so, it was either a paper cake or plaster and messiness! LOL. So, we did what we do best, and chose the paper. Good thing we had some Penny Duncan Designs roses and the Elegant Cakes Cartridge for the  borders. I loved the pastel pink and white, and the white has a small shimmer, you can't tell, but it still looks great! So, you're probably wondering how I made this. Well, its basically just cutting a circle from your Cricut, I had to make this smaller but no one can tell. Then we put the strips on the side.I cut out the borders and made the roses. Then, using my Gypsy I cut Happy Birthday Jillian out with Gypsy Font. There it is! And I love it! We used a Paper Mache box under this.

I cut the file in Make the Cut and Dina makes it so nice by grouping all the cuts together when you open the file, so you can size them at the same time so no guessing needed!  They were cut at 3 1/2 inches.  Love the daisies!
