Hello from Minnesota, my name is Allie Gower, of Well Trained Paper, and I had the pleasure of meeting Team Vance at CHA-Winter 2012. I was over the moon when Bunny asked me if I would like to guest design. Would I?!? I even got to pick the stamp set. I have to say, Mr. & Mrs. Mustache really said "come have a party with me."So I set out with some Grammy Party Plans!I stamped and embossed a pile of mustaches. I used a rainbow of colors. After stamping the image with embossing ink, I sprinkled the colors with a small palette knife. I poured the excess onto a sheet of scratch paper. I used the left over powder to do another set of mustaches, for my party tubes.The tiny face is stamped on a small circle, cut with Spellbinders Paper Arts Dies. The top hats are just stamped with black ink and cut out. All pieces are matted on Momenta papers, and then matted on different die cut shapes.This was an easy and fun project, and the kids were sure pleased with the results. Weren't the Grammy's great this year?

When Jillian told me she wanted a Moustache set, I was like "Oh that is a trend that will end soon". Well 4 months later, it is getting bigger instead of going away ~ so she designed the set and I love it! I used the die template to stencil the inside of the smaller {die}mond die.

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Card

This is Nadia at Nadia's Beautiful Mess ~ Let me start by saying, I had a blast with this stamp set! The moustaches are so much fun! I couldn't pick just one or two stamps, so I went all out and started with a blank piece of paper and started stamping my heart away. I created my own pattern paper by randomly placing stamps all over the paper. I then added the "Mrs & Mrs." sentiments and made it a wedding card. Added black tulle and a gem for a special wedding touch.

Everyday Lunchbox Notes and Seals

Hello loyal followers! It's Nadia from Nadia's Beautiful Mess. Today I'm sharing with you sweet and simple lunchbox box notes. You can place these in your husband, wife or children's lunchbox before they head out for the day. All I used was leftover scraps and A Jillian Vance Design stamps - Sending My Love. The "SWAK" note can even be used to seal up a paper bag lunch! It's a simple thought that would go a long way. Sometimes my hubby writes a sweet message on the foil of my wrapped sandwiches, but now that I have created these, I will place them in the kitchen and we both can give each other sweet messages in our lunch!

Valentine #1: I Love You

This is so simple, anybody can do it in less than 20 minutes.

Its a really great card and super simple for anyone to make! If you are just a beginner, try this out. I just took white paper for the background and heart, and inked the background with Victorian Velvet and the heart with Worn Lipstick :) Its a very easy card, as I've said before. Its a great way to express your love to your Valentine!

Valentine #2: Hugs and Kisses Hearts

This is a very fun card! Its a little similar to my mom's card, but I still added my own little flair! I love this!

So, as you can see, I put the red Divine Twine on the red heart, and the pink twine on the pink heart. I really like this! Its also simple, like the first one. Hope you liked this one :)

Valentine Minis

This week we created Valentine Minis. I love these little 3 inch cards! So quick and easy to make. I used the A {Little} Love set, some paper punches a little Divine Twine and TaDaaaa they are done! I cut the cards 3 x 3, the scallop punch is 2 1/2 inches and the outer 1 1/2 inch circle punch the sentiments fit the 1 inch punch or the Epiphany Crafts 25 Round bubble!

The card on the left is My Creative Time's gift card die with a "flower" made out of 4 scallop circles folded in fourths. then a scallop 1 1/2 on top and the 1 inch circle with sentiment on top of that.

Middle heart card: was cut from the Spellbinders Scalloped Heart dies then a 2 inch circle punch and added some Divine Twine!

To make the card on the right: 3x3 card
1 1/2 inch squares with the opposite corners "chomped" and a paper punch button in the middle with some Divine Twine!

My {little} Card Set

Hello!

Jennifer from Scrapping Under the Influence back again. This week we are making little projects using the A {little} Love stamp set.

For my project I decided to do some mini Valentines. In the center of each card is one of the stamps from Jillian's A {little} Love stamp set. I colored each of the stamped images before turning them into little epoxy buttons using the Epiphany Crafts round tool. These stamps are sized to fit perfectly under a round 20 epoxy bubble. The bubbles are adhered to the front of cards with a pop dot.

Tiny Valentine Cards

Hello Followers! I've created a set of four tiny valentine cards, each measuring 3x3. Perfect for valentine classmate cards, for co-workers and neighbors. I made them simple and easy to replicate. The sentiments on A {Little} Love stamp set are suitable for so many cartridges that I had, so it made things very easy for me to put together. Also helpful is the fact that these cards are so small that I was able to use scraps. Bonus!

AND...what better than a stamp set that can serve more than one purpose? I was ecstatic (to say the least) when I found out that 6 sentiments on this stamp set fit PERFECTLY on a hershey's kiss! Also perfect to slip a few inside a baggie and hand out for classmates.

Butterfly card: Cricut Lite Live Simply (cut @ 2)

Cupcake card: Cricut Lite Sweet Shoppe (cut at 2)

Pig card: Cricut Lite Playtime (cut at 2)

Pear card: Cricut Preserves (cut at 2)

Look at this absolutely adorable milk carton box filled with Hershey Hugs and Kisses! I used the "Sending My Love" A Jillian Vance Design stamp set....the sentiment is perfect and couldn't be more appropriate! Family Journal ~ Just Journaling

Hi guys! Well, its another Thursday, 1 day closer to Friday! YAY! Well, anyway- I did a few altered notebooks for this week, so I'm gonna put the recipe's for both of them.

A little about the altered notebooks: These can be used to put pictures, or explaining events or memories you want to keep. Kinda like a Scrapbook, but without doing a lot of decorated pages. So, kinda like a smashbook. I use mine to write songs and stories and what not. Just wanted to explain if you weren't sure :)

1st Altered Notebook: Family Journal 2012
So, I made this one for when I go to California at the end of this month for CHA (and Disney... and an Allstar Weekend concert!!!) So, I'm pretty excited! It was really fun to make this one.

To create the flower. Stamp the flower image 6-10 times onto pattern making paper. Trim out each image. Stack all the images on top of each other and punch a small hole into the center. Place a brad through the center and secure it. Crinkle each layer of the flower up and over the top of the brad. Fluff it and add it to your project. Baby Girl Journal/Planner & Leftover Christmas Cards Journal

Hi Guys, this is Nadia from Nadias Beautiful Mess. With our Baby Girl on the way, I needed a journal where I could keep track of the baby's firsts, appointments, feeding/sleeping schedule...and lots of other important details, including random thoughts and journaling. I used AJVDTotally Titles stamp set for this journal. This stamp set has over 30 words to mix and match and this was also my first time creating an altered notebook, so much fun using this set and creating this book!

Hi Everyone! It's Nadia from Nadia's Beautiful Mess. My sister is on her way to Hawaii for one week since it's so cold here in Canada and when she comes back, I wanted to surprise her with a sweet, warm thought. I put my Just Snowflakes and Snowflake Sentiment stamp sets to use by making her a welcome home card and a quick "warm up" gift!

I used chalk ink to ink up my Just Snowflake stamps to create a soft, snowy look and to also make my own pattern paper.

For a gift, I made her a hot chocolate package and made this pretty tag to match.

Each Snowflake is Unique . . .

Hi guys!!! Happy New Year! Isn't it weird to have to write 2012 instead of 2011? You definitely get in the habit of writing 11 and then it messes you up in the new year! Haha! Well, today, I did something kind of different for this week.

Here is the recipe and later I will explain what I did and how I did it in a minute :)

How I did it: Well, I just took a bit of clay, softened it out, and rolled it through a pasta roller, then, cut it with a knife, then stamped it with my stamp (which I put baby powder on so the clay wouldn't stick to it), and then I baked it! Thats the basic way to do it with the sculpy! Its a really nice clay!

Just Snowflakes

Snowflake Sentiments Stamp Set

"Winter Wonderland"

Happy New Year greetings to all of my crafty friends!

It's time for a new monthly challenge over at Imaginisce! This one was a slam dunk for me as living in the climate here in Minnesota is all about this!

"Winter Wonderland"

My interpretation for this challenge:

The inspiration for my gift bag was the snowman, or as I refer to him, Frosty. I knew I wanted to create Frosty, pieced from the various sizes of our i-Top punches. Once I layered the punches from the i-Top punches in various sizes, I felt the centers of each layer really needed some depth. I used the all new i-Top 2.0, XL, L and M sizes for my brads.

Some cardboard dry brushed with pearl white paint made my backdrop and as I had leftover paint, I dry brushed it onto Frosty as well, that worked out spendidly! His face is a Peachy Keen New Years face.

As you can probably guess, the Bon Voyage collection is what was used for its vintage timeless flavor. Oh, and Frosty's hat, that's a canvas car sticker from the collection! The snow on the edges of the cardboard is a Viva Decor pearl pen. I've stamped using Versamark, A Jillian Vance Design snowflake stamps and sentiment and some Fairy Dust Glitter onto the postcard. The arms are stick pins by Maya Road. Snowflakes are Martha Stewart punches.

Of course, my handy i-Rock was used to add some snowflake glitter and crystal sparkle as well.

Here is a close up photo...

To get the snowflake background. I cut a piece of a file folder to 4x4. Stamped 2-3 of the snowflakes with Brilliance Moonlight White and then dumped UTEE on them and heated it up. I stamped a few more snowflakes and did the same process. Then I took out my Distress inks and inked the file folder from Tumbled Glass on top, Broken China in the Middle and Faded Jeans on the bottom. You always want to go from light to dark. I then spritzed it with water to let it run a bit and heated it back up. Be careful to not rub the UTEE when it's hot. I then flicked a few water droplets onto my card and heated it again for the droplets to dry. Hi, this is Bunny from Bunny Runs with Scissors!

I have Snow much to be thankful for, we had a wonderful Christmas with Family and Friends.

I made this card with my gift givers in mind! What a beautiful color of blue card stock, they photos do not do it justice!

I cut this 5 x 5 inch card and layer it with snowflake printed paper from DCWV. Then layered a wide strip that I stamped with Silver Color Box ink. I then stamped the snowflake and used a 1 1/2 inch circle punch to make a charm to Pear Pin on the ribbon. Which just happen to match the card stock perfectly! Simple but elegant!

Happy Thursday to my crafty friends! Two more sleeps until 2012, are you ready?Imaginisce challenged us to come up with something inspirational for New Years. I thought about it for a bit and this is what I came up with:

For this project I used our Bon Voyage collection for its rich tones and elegant feel. The black flourish of i-rock gems and the i-top covered in ribbon and tulle give a bit of movement and texture.

To commemorate 2012, I stamped the year using my A. Jillian Vance Design stamps and used Versamark and white embossing powder to keep the design subtle.

A few additional black gems were added into the black rose trim.

Guest Designer Rhonda Van Ginkel ~ Darling Ornament!

Wednesday crafty greetings to you! I’m excited to bring to you a fun little project today that I created with my December Quick Quotes Club Q kit.I thought it would be fun to mix up my projects a bit and create an ornament for the tree! Every year I create a few ornaments that are special to me for our tree. This is my Quick Quotes ornament for 2011 featuring my two sweet little guys. : )

To create this ornament I used the Tim Holtz Accordion Flower die by Sizzix. I created two and sandwiched them together. The cute little gingerbread men are stamps by A. Jillian Vance Design and represent my kids. I colored them with my Copics.

I added a layer on either side of a punched snowflake. Using my Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Bubble Caps and Metal Charms were a perfect accent and provided a wonderful way to hang the ornament!

I punched holes through the center of the snowflakes so my hanger ribbon could be threaded.

Here is the flip side. I just love that sweet gingerbread man! A little Diamond Stickles on top of my snowflake and voila~!A sandwich view.

Well my Dad's favorite snack is Cashews!

So I decided to fancy up his can for Christmas! And since Jillian has a great poem for that Nutty gift it was a perfect match!

I found this "manly" Christmas paper and wrapped the can in it.

I then cut a strip of red paper to wrap around it also. Used Spellbinders Labels 8 for the three layers of tags. Then stamped the sentiment in Black Archival to the smallest. Wrapped ribbon around them, tied the bow and TADA! A quick and easy gift wrap!

Well here is my Reindeer Poop post ~ With a missing Reindeer Poop bag!

Yes we had the treat bag of Chocolate Covered Raisins and can't find it anywhere ~ used it as a prop for a show and someone must have snagged it! So anyway here is a simple and cute treat topper for that missing bag!

I used the brown theme as I love this gingham paper! I stamped the circle in Red Archival and the Reindeer in Coffee Archival as well as the Poem! A little polka dot ribbon and it is good to go!

Merry and Most Wonderful Treats!

Merry and Most Wonderful Treats!

Well I have to say M & M's are my favorite candy! Peanut ones especially!

So for my Treat holder today I made a Sour Cream container! Now we purchased the paper crimper a year or so ago and I never used it! So it was time to whip it out!

I cut my paper 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 then used my ATG gun to adhere it like a tube of toilet paper!

Then one end you flatten one way, used adhesive and then crimp and the do the other end the opposite way. I find if you use adhesive on all sides before you put the tube together it is so much easier.

Then I tied some ribbon around it and Pear Pinned on the tag cut from a Spellbinders™ Labels 8 die.

Snowman Poop

Would you like a little Snowman Poop?

This cute little box is from SVG Cuts.com Tied Suprise Gift Boxes found HERE. They are quick and easy to make! I then used the Spellbinder circle to cut out the front of the box so you can

see the "poop" inside :) Which I put in a nice little baggie.

I used the Scallop punch and the 1 1/2 inch scallop punch with the Holiday Treats Stamp set found HERE.

I tied it with a ribbon from Hobby Lobby and pinned the Snowman Poop Poem on with a Pear Pin and

TADA . . . A cute little treat box!

Mr and Mrs Moustache

Well I just had to do this!!! As soon as I got our stamples {what Jillian calls the stamp set samples} I went to work! and this is what I came up with ~ CUTE, if I do say so myself!

So I cut a piece of Teresa Collins Black and White Polka Dot then rounded the corners with my corner chomper. Used Spellbinders™ Labels Eight for the Black and White card stock layers. Tied Red Rinkle Ribbon { available at our Show Booth} on the Black layer then layered the White on top.

I used Black Archival for the Hat and Moustache and Crimson Archival for the Bow Tie and Lips. Iced Spruce for the strand of pearls and the Bow for the bride's hair is in Spun Sugar (faint but cute in person!)

I then used the individual stamps of The, Mr. & Mrs. and put them together to fit on a Spellbinders™ Grommet Tag ~ my go to tag again!!!

Topped them off with cute little heart Brad I found in the brad drawer!

S'more Treats! Merry Kiss-Mas!

S'more Treats
Well I got the bright idea to use Teddy Grahams, mini marshmallows and Hersey Kisses {could use chocolate chips but Kisses give you more Chocolate!}
to make a S'more Treat bag! I then used textured card stock and layered the scallop and round punches to make the tag. Then added the Rinkle Ribbon for a cute little look! We are all about simple this time of year when other things are pulling at us too!
i got the bags at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry department! They come in 3 x 4 and 4 x 6 depending on how much you want to fill them.

Sweet Season!

Well since it is my last week of school before Christmas break, seems like I am getting a TON of homework! So I made this tag, simple, easy and SWEET!

What a cute little treat! Two candy canes (Starburst in fact, Strawberry and Green Apple ~ my favorites!)

I used Christmas Baking Treats for my tag. The circle sentiment is stamped in silver pigment ink on red card stock and the candy icon in Crimson Archival ink. I used the 1 1/2 inch circle punch for the red and the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 for the inside candy circle.

Then layered them all on a Scallop 2 inch circle, punched a hole and Pear Pinned it on the Rinkle Ribbon!

I cut the wreath out of the lacy circle Spellbinders™ set then the banner is from Ribbon Banners also by Spellbinders™ and the poinsettia is made from the McGill punches!
I used Christmas Blessings Stamp set for the sentiment stamped with Black Archival Ink!

For my card I used my new Memory Box die ~ yes even though we are getting our own dies, we still spread the love!

For this card, I used hunter card stock with a DCWV paper. I cut the tree from the Nested Trees Spellbinders™ die, the Deer was cut from the Memory Box die as was the little tag. I then put embossing ink on the deer and embossed him in gold, I also stamped the sentiment with embossing ink so they would match! The sentiment is from Santa Baby.
The Ribbon is AJVD Rinkle Ribbon which we may start carrying {just haven't decided yet}in gold.
I pinned the tag on with a AJVD Pear Pin!
Which are now featured in 50 piece packages instead of 25!

I love this card, it is so simple yet fun and perfect for gift giving.

I made this card at the Jillibean Soup Card Bar also.
It is a Kraft card base with squares of printed Jillibean Soup paper evenly spaced with a Gift Card pocket on the front! Stamped with our Just Snowflakes Stamp found HERE in Whisper White Craft Ink by Stampin Up. The sentiment is from Christmas Blessings Stamp set found HERE and is stamped in Coffee Archival Ink.

Ok, So this is a tag! Well isn't it cute anyway! We did these at the Jillibean Soup Card Bar which benefited Toys for Tots!
Everything is Jillibean Soup except for the Christmas Blessings Stamp! Yes even the snowflake is her's {didn't have a choice really and it was so cute!}
The deer is a Memory Box die cut from Jillibean Soup Corrugated sheets.

Santa Baby ~ Hurry Down the Chimney Tonight!

I just love the song Santa Baby always have! So we decided to use my salon logo I use for Christmas for our Santa Baby set, it is like I am my Hair only with a Santa Hat!

For my project I did a card with a removable Ornament and tag!

I cut a piece of red card stock 9 x 8 1/2 then folded it so it was

4 1/2 inches wide. Then I cut a white strip 2 1/2 inches wide and border punched with a Martha Stewart punch. Then I cut the belt 1 3/4" wide x 4 1/2" and the belt buckle cut at 1 1/2" square and added the 1 inch square of black in the middle to make the belt.

Then I stamped white card stock with Distress Ink Festive Berries ~ Tim Holtz's new Winter Seasonal Ink which is on sale for $12.00 for the three pack HERE! I used A Jillian Vance Design Tiny Dot background stamp found HERE. and distressed the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink.

Then cut it with the Spellbinders Scalloped Circle die. I then cut out of the smaller Scalloped Circle a clear plastic one (Spellbinder packaging!!! Saw Tim do this the other night for one of his tags)

I then used Archival Ink in Jet Black and Stamped our "Santa Baby" on it! along with the sentiment on the card.

Here you can see as I put the red in between the clear and the white. Christmas lights on the tree should reflect off of that plastic to add some shine! I also used Stickles to accent the hat, lips and flowers.

For my tag I used just a Ranger tag, inked with Festive Berries from the Winter collection which is still available on our web site.

I used Black soot around the edges also. Sprayed Perfect Pearls mist in Perfect Pearls on my Kraft sheet and then stamped the Tiny Dot background stamp and stamped the tag with it! Dried it with the heat gun, then stamped the image in Archival Jet Black and also the Santa Baby sentiment.

I took some black card stock and our Silver pigment ink and stamped the circle stamp and used the 1 1/2 circle punch to cut it out, hung it on the hand dyed ribbon (using Festive Berries, Aged Mahogny and Black Soot, Perfect Pearls Mist in Perfect Pearls and dried with the heat gun) with a AJVD Pear Pin! to make it look like a charm!

Are these penguins not the cutest things!!!! Again Jillibean Soup!
I cut an A2 card out of Olive card stock then layered the Frozen Haddock (penguins) paper and used Spellbinders™ Circles for the red and star paper (Frozen Haddock reverse side). Then cut them in half {ok, not perfect but you get the jist!} Then adhered it all and added the Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio Two with the Sentiment from Winter Wishes found HERE stamped in Black Archival. The ribbon is from Pat Catans (our local craft store).
Isn't this a cute whimsical card!

Winter Wishes Stamp Set

Ok, so I had my "dirty" Snowman card {found here} and my "dirty" Jesus card {found here}so now I have my "dirty" Snowflake card!
I just love the look of Kraft papers!
So I started with it as a base, then layered the neutral homespun snowflake paper, from my stash, then layered the brown/Kraft gingham (from my stash also) cut with the Lacey Squares Spellbinders™ die and layered the smaller one as well in Kraft again. I stamped the Snowflake in Coffee Archival Ink and then did a smaller snowflake and used the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Shape Studio Tool and accessory to make it POP!
The sentiment was stamped in Coffee Archival ink on a Kraft tag cut from Spellbinders™ Grommet Tags. That is when the Snowflake sentiment set was designed around ~ probably because it is one of Jillian's and my favorite go to tag sets for sentiments!
Very monotone but I love it!

Well I have to say I just love this card! and I am so proud of it ~ much prettier in person than the photo really shows!

I used red card stock for the base, printed card stock from my stash, cut the candle out of Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge. added the ribbon from our local Pat Catan's (craft store) Stickles to the "flame". Then I used my McGill branch punch to make the pine boughs ~ aren't they just so cute!!! Then Candi for the berries are pop dotted on. The Sentiment is from Holiday Treats and perfect for a candle gift tag stamped in Black Archival.

Holiday Treats Stamp Set

This cute card was inspired on a rainy, chilly day here in Ohio, I needs something to make me feel warm and cozy inside!
Started with olive card stock, then used our new My Favorite Things Die-namics Solid Bracket Border {we purchased at our local scrapbook store on Small Business Saturday!} for the strips at the top and bottom. I used Jillibean Soup papers again! The stars are Frozen Haddock and the Holly is Frozen Lobster! I cut the cup from Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge and the "cocoa" from Kraft paper! Stamped the sentiment {a mug full of love to warm you} and the cup icon in the middle of it, in black Archival ink

For this card I used the Spellbinders™ Ornaments using Red card stock and Authentique paper in Wonder { I got the 6x6 stack at the beginning of the season at Archivers} O Holy Night is stamped in Black Archival Ink and from the O Holy Night and Nativity Set found HERE.

then used my crop a dile and punched a whole and put in a grommet for my ribbon, on the ribbon I pinned a AJVD Pear Pin {found HERE} that I put seed beads on to look more festive!

O Holy Night Stamp Set

For this card, I saw the gingerbread man while looking for a different design and thought "Perfect for what I had in mind!" Then I found this darling Jillibean Soup paper in my stash so I thought it was perfect for Mr. Gingerbread Man!

I cut the Gingerbread man from Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge using Frozen Shrimp paper, the stripe background is Salt and Pepper both from Jillibean Soup found HERE.

I had strips of red left over from another project and thought ti would make the perfect bow tie! Cream paper was stamped with Crimson and Coffee Archival Ink and a 1 1/2 scallop punch was used. I added the Cherry Divine Twine and a couple of brassy brown brads ~ say that three times fast!!!

O Holy Night Garland

Ruby is always thinking outside the box so she challenged Jillian and I to do so also this week! So our project was a "home decor" item! Well I looked at our fireplace and decided it needed a banner!So I found the 3 D Star at My Scrap Chick and used the Ornament, Nested Pennant and Nested Lacey Pennant and Labels 8 Spellbinders™ Dies for the back drops of the stamped images. I used Jet Black Archival Ink by Ranger and Black Licorice Divine Twine to hang the banner with. The stamped shapes are pinned on the Divine Twine with Pear Pins that can be found HERE.The Stamp sets are shown below and can be found HERE.

Well we decided to make this a team project since school and homework is taking a bunch of my time. So mom and I got busy in the craft room! Well kind of, we started with an empty Frosted Flakes cereal box! Yes, that is our favorite cereal ~ as a snack!For the back of the Stable, we cut a 6 x 8 rectangle out of the box, then out of Jillibean Soup's Wood grain paper called Apple Cheddar Soup. Then for the top just took one side of the cereal box and folded it and covered it with the wood grain paper too. {We used the ATG gun to adhere it!}I used Spellbinders™ dies for all the rest of the cuts as follows:

Wise men ~ Labels Eight, black embossing powder
Nativity ~ Nested Lacey Pennants, Coffee Archival Ink
Angel and sentiment ~ Labels One and Gold embossing powder
Star ~ Nested Star die, stamped in Black Archival Ink with Perfect Pearls Mist in Sunflower Gold
A Star is Born and O Holy Night ~ Labels Eight, Coffee Archival Ink and AJVD Pear Pins to hang them onto the Stable!

Most were 3-D dotted with two layers of dots to make them stand out from the stable!
