Gods Art Stamp Set ~ SO Very Versatile!

I love the way Ruby used the icons from the stamp set!  LOVE this card!!  This definitely shows that I (Bunny) see the trees and not the forest most of the time!  It never occurred to me to NOT use the tree from this set! This is so darling!!!  That is why Ruby is our beloved designer!!!

Family is a Patchwork of Love!

Family is a Patchwork of Love!

I used a 12 x 12 piece of burgundy cardstock cut in half and scored at 6 inches ~ I am loving these larger cards ~ more space for my stuff!!! Then layered a piece of Kraft paper over that.

I used Jillibean Soup Sweet and Sour Soup paper and cut with the Lacey Squares by Spellbinders.
The center paper if from K & Company paper stack I have had for awhile, but coorinated great with the Jillibean Soup paper.

The center sentiment was stamped on a Spellbinder Ribbon Tags Trio Two die,  then I cut the paper strip to fit in.  The stitches stamps were inked with Coffee Archival ink and then stamp to make it looks like a quilted card.

The sentiment on this card is from the Stitches Stamp Set and the "
stitches are from the More Stitches Stamp Set and is also on the Stitches set, both are found HERE

Welcome Thienly from ModPaperie as our Guest Designer!

We are so excited to have Thienly from ModPaperie as our Guest Designer today!!!
She is using the More Stitches Stamp set from A Jillian Vance Design
Hi, this is Hi, this is Thienly from Mod Paperie (http://modpaperie.blogspot.com/)!  It’s an honor to be a guest designer her at The Princess & The Paper today!
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting both Jillian and Bunny while my friend and I owned the Paper Dolls blog.  We had them as guest designers (they made that beautiful topiary!) and featured artists, as well as them being a generous sponsor for our final challenge.   Thank you both for having me here J
I’ve always liked various aspects of ‘crafting’, but my real passion for paper came after I purchased my first cutting machine, Cricut, a couple of years ago.  From there, I was hooked, and have been papercrafting since!  I love to make all sorts of projects – layouts, cards… but mainly 3D projects is where I have a lot of fun doing it!  I love using stamps in my projects as well – they just add a little bit of ‘personal’ but ‘professional’ touch to my creations.
Today, I had the pleasure of playing with the More Stitches Stamp set and made a card.  This set is so cute – with various stitches in two widths as well as some cute sentiments to go with it! Jillian is so talented – I can’t believe she’s designing all these amazing stamps at her age!
Anyway, here’s my card:
To make this card, I just cut out 9 square pieces (1 3/4” x 1 3/4”) of various patterned paper, and I stamped the edges of them.  I adhered them on the 5 ½” x 5 ½” card.
I stamped the sentiment onto another paper and adhered onto the card using a foam tape to give dimension.  I embellished the rest with rose ribbon, natural twine and brown twine, buttons, mini spool, and crinkled ribbons.
Hope that you liked my card!!  It’s an honor to be a guest designer her at The Princess & The Paper today!

Hope that you liked my card!
We thank Thienly from ModPaperie  for her beautiful card and Guest Designing for us!!!
Please visit her blog and give her some love! While you are there check out all her cool projects ~ she is one talented gal!!

A Jillian Vance Design Welcomes Guest Designer Heather Gray from Heather's Krafty Korner

A Jillian Vance  Design Welcomes Guest Designer Heather Gray from Heather's Krafty Korner.
Heather was our winner from Facebook with our 300 Likes contest!  Congratulations to Heather and so we asked her if she wanted to guest design for us with those stamps she won.  This is the darling card she came up with!
My name is Heather. I have been crafting since the late 90's! I started out scrapbooking after seeing my cousin working on her scrapbook. I thought it looked so cool I wanted to do my own! I am not a chronological scrapper. I like to scrap whatever pictures inspire me in the moment. Over the years my work has changed so much. I really love to work with sketches now. They get me to think outside the box and try things I haven't done before. I avoided card making for so long because I didn't have the time to do both. But a couple years ago I went to a Stampin' UP party and have been hooked ever since! Cards are a good way that I can be creative when I have a short amount of time. Thank you so much for letting me be a guest designer today! I loved working with the More Stitches stamp set!
Ok ladies, here is what I came up with! This is my recipe:

A Jillian Vance Design More Stitches stamp set found HERE
MME Lost and Found Blush
Twinery Pink Sorbet and Blossom twine
Heritage Cricut Cartridge
Stampin' Up: Pink Passion cardstock, Bravo Burgundy ink, Subtles buttons

This is my blog address: http://heatherskraftykorner.blogspot.com/ Please go give Heather some love and tell her you saw her on A Jillian Vance Design Blog!

Thank you to Heather for this cute card creation!  You know how to make our stamps look great!

Witchy Poo Tag by Bunny
Bunny from Bunny Runs with Scissors
Here is my Witchy Poo tag, it is a Ranger tag that was a blooper so I covered it with black card stock, used my Crop a Dile to put the hole in top.  I used Echo Park the Apothecary Emporium 6 x 6
paper stack.  I cut the black and white from the largest Large Labels Spellbinders Die and the Orange diamond out of the second largest one.  I then used the Grommet tag for the grid and the poem.
These stamps can be found HERE and are on sale for $12.50 a set!

Just Snowflakes Stamp Set found HERE for the snowflakes stamped in Pacific Point Stampin Up Ink

Amy Jo - Today I created a cute little mini notebook, using the "Notebook" stamps available to purchase here.  The pictures below are of the front, the inside and the inside back cover.  To finish it off, I will be adding ribbon to the rings.  Hope you like it!

I love how you can turn an unlined notepad into one with lines.  I am the type of girl who must have lines to keep it looking nice, so this set is perfect for me! To get the full details please head over to my blog (click the link above).  ~ Amy Jo

Then I decided I really wanted to use my Autumn Leaves set and I am so pleased with how this card came out, I almost want to hang it up instead of sending it out! I used 3 different stamps from this set.  Aren't those pumpkins the sweetest?  I've used the leaves for many cards already.  They are great for the entire year, especially for sympathy, get well, anything of a gentle nature. For the rest of the details on my projects today, please head to my blog.

Thanks for joining  us today!
Sincerely,

A Jillian Vance Design welcomes Guest Designer Jennifer Palmer

Please Welcome Jennifer Palmer from  Scrapping Under the Influence

Hello!

If this is your first time to my blog, welcome! My name is Jennifer Palmer and this is my blog S.U.I. – Scrapping Under the Influence. I’ve been a paper crafter for about three years now. I started out with a few stamp sets, making cards and doing scrapbook pages and since I got my first Cricut have branched out into all kinds of altered projects and other paper crafts.

Today, I've been asked to be a guest designer for A Jillian Vance Design. Jillian designs some amazing stamps and I just bought my first sets. I've designed two cards and tag using her sentiment stamps. I love that her sentiments and these are some of the best I've seen for Halloween. They are so unique and fun. I will definitely be buying some more of these!

My first card is "Smell My Feet".

This is a simple gatefold card using one of the trick-or-treaters from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge.

The inside is very simple, but the stamp adds the perfect touch of whimsy to finish off the card. This stamp is from the "Eye on Halloween" stamps set.

Supplies:
A Jillian Vance Design "Eye on Halloween" stamp set
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Black Soot
Patterned paper, candy corn border: Fancy Pants Design.
Colored Cardstock: The Paper Company
Cricut Mini Monsters Cardstock
Corner Chomper: Cloud/Scallop

My next card is "Purrrfectly Halloween"

For this card I used images from the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge. This is a larger 5x7 card. I added Fully Purple Glimmer Mist. I ran the cat through my Xyron and covered it in Sprinkle and Sparkle Stellar glitter.

Inside, I've used two stamps from Jillian's "Witchy Poo" stamp set.

Supplies:

A Jillian Vance Design "Witchy Poo" stamp set
Close to My Heart Inks: Black, Sunflower, Buttercup
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Antique Linen, Black Soot
Glimmer Mist: Raven, Fully Purple
Sprinkle N Sparkle Glitter: Implusive Purple, Steller
Pattern Cardstock: Recollections Midnight Magic Halloween Stack
Colored Cardstock: The Paper Company

And finally, my tag "Witching You A Happy Halloween"

For the background I used two of the Tim Holtz seasonal Distress Inks, along with some silver Adirondack alcohol ink mixative. I randomly stamped the birds from the Tim Holtz Lost and Found stamp set.

The cauldron is from the Cricut Happy Hauntings cartridge.

On the cauldron I stamped this adorable poem from Jillian's "Witchy Poo" stamp set. The cauldron is lightly edged with a silver Krylon leaf pen.

I also attached a Tim Holtz fragment using one of Jillian's pear pins. These things are amazing! They're sturdy yet delicate. She has all kinds of ides for these on her blog, Princess and the Paper and on the A Jillian Vance Design blog. The cat on the fragment is also from the "Witchy Poo" stamp set.

Supplies:

A Jillian Vance Design "Witchy Poo" stamp set
A Jillian Vance Design Pear Pins
Inkssentials Craft Tag
Tim Holtz Seasonal Distress Inks: Seedless Preserves, Ripe Persimmon
Tim Holtz Fragments
Cricut Happy Hauntings cartridge
Tim Holtz Lost and Found stamp set
Joann Clear Embossing Powder
Versamark
Krylon Silver Leaf Pen

Thank you Jen, great job! Such hard work and details, we are glad you love our stamps and you sure did represent them well!

A Jillian Vance Design welcomes Guest Designer Rebecca Morefield-Wagner

A Jillian Vance Design welcomes Guest Designer Rebecca Morefield-Wagner from the Happy Card Encouragement Factory!

I am so excited to be a guest designer for A Jillian Vance Design.  I am just getting into stamps so I was excited to win two of Jillian’s stamps sets from a craft challenge.  Since then I have purchased a few more and am loving stamping (I was mostly a die cut user).  You can imagine my surprise when  Bunny asked me to make a card using their cute stamps.  I just hope I do them justice!
First off, Bunny asked me to say a little about myself, so here it is.  I am a 37 year old home schooling mom of two teenage boys - one of whom is currently a Senior.  I have been married to my best friend for almost 19 years who supports me in all that I do.  I am also one of the world's biggest nerds.  I love all gadgets and gizmos which is why I work part-time at a big box electronics store.  That love is really what started me in the world of crafting.  I enjoy working with my hands, be it kneading bread, paper piecing or building computers.  I was so stressed out building and fixing every one's computers that I needed to do something just for me.  Thus The Happy Card Encouragement Factory was born and the rest is history.
For my projects today, I decided to make a few cards.   My friend Trish started a challenge over at the Make the Cut forum.  She provided the files and we were asked to come up with something crafty.   I have the Tender Thoughts stamp set and when I saw the files, the first thing that popped in my head was a monotone background.  Something demure and simple, that really showcases the stamps.  Makes the sentiment the focal point of the card.

My original intention was just two cards.  When I cut the honeycomb pattern out in American Crafts “Play” line paper, I loved the negative too.  So I decided to make another card.  The white card stock is Georgia Pacific in 67 lb.   The ribbons were just a pack I picked up at Hobby Lobby, can’t remember the name.
Thank you for coming by and taking a look.  Hope you enjoyed my project for today.  Have a great day and happy crafting!

The stamp set can be found here: http://www.ajillianvancedesign.com/products.html

A Jillian Vance Design welcomes Guest Designer Dee Ruck

A Jillian Vance Design welcomes Guest Designer Dee Ruck ~ Pray for a Cure Rectangle

Recipe for card:

This card is made with embellished card stock. I used a stamp from the Ink Pink Collection Pray for a Cure Rectangle found HERE created by A Jillian Vance Design. I  enhanced the shoe strings with diamond Stickles . I have added scalloped embellishments that says "hope" and I added the angel which was a free digi stamp from an online site.
About Dee:
Hi my name is Dee and I create paper crafted hand made one of a kind altered art greeting cards. This all started as I walked through a high end florist and saw this little vintage santa on a postcard and the quality of work was extremely bad. So I purchased it to see how it was made and knew that I could create the same look but with detailed embellishments and great quality card stock. You can see the beautiful images that I am able to create at my etsy shop located at

I am also a SAHM that suffers from a disability and I am able to be at home with my 4 fur babies. I am also married to a wonderful man who is my husband. We both care very much for all animals that are in shelters that can't find a forever home. If you like pets, than please consider saving a life and adopt from your local shelter or rescue. They are my children. Their names are Devon, Daisy Mae, Murphy and our newest addition is Romeo. They all were adopted from various rescue shelters and foster homes within NJ, DE, MD and PA. If you would like to see photo's of all of my dogs even the ones that have crossed over go to my personal blog at http://deesdesignsfrommyheart.blogspot.com. You can also check out some more of my cards on the above link.

Triple Monograms, Swirly Monograms and Die's, OH MY!

Triple Monograms, Swirly Monograms and Die's, OH MY!
This week A Jillian Vance Design is featuring the Triple Monograms, Old Script Alphabet that comes in the double set and Swirly Monograms.  These sets were what sparked the relationship between AJVD and Spellbinders!  We had called about a custom die, the next week at CHA we got to meet Stacey Caron and her  team and in 2012 we will be a Preferred Partner Company with Spellbinders.
So here are just a few of my creations with all of these sets found HERE!
Swirly Monograms with Labels Three Spellbinders Dies.

Here you can see I used an Epiphany Crafts Round 25 over the initial.

This is the Triple Monograms using my husband's initial first, our last name in the middle and my name on the right.  It was cut with Labels Twenty One dies by Spellbinders.
I used the same set up as above for my anniversary card to my hubby, Sam or better known as Jillian's Dad!  We decided at CHA, we didn't have names other than Jillian's Mom and Jillian's Dad ~ and we love it that way!  I also used Happy Anniversary Stamp set for the sentiment.

Triple Monograms with Old Script Alphabet and Swirly Monograms have so many possibilities!  Not just for initials!
Here is a new twist for the Triple Monogram set.  I used the small snowman from the Holiday Treats Stamp set found HERE and the center snowman circle from the Winter Wishes Stamp set found HERE.  I stamped them in Jet Black Archival and the Frame in French
Ultramarine.  I used the Spellbinders Labels 8 to make the card and layer.

Amy Jo:
For my project today, I decided to make a little something for myself!  I made a little hanging for my craft room door.  I apologize for the washed out photo, the colors are actually quite lovely, but I don't have time to retake the photos right now.  The background colors are actually a creamy yellow and black with some gray. I used both the Old Script Alphabet set and the Triple Monogram Swirls.  They are so elegant!  I'm going to have to get the Spellbinders dies to use with them though.  I think that will increase their versatility for sure!  Without further ado, here is my project!  For more details stop on by my blog.

Thanks for stopping by I would love for you to follow my blog, leave a comment and "like" AJVD on Facebook!

Swirly Monograms Stamp set found HERE, for $16.95

Triple Monograms and Old Script Alphabet are a Double stamp set  for $29.95 found HERE
